Air Leaders, Inc. of Ontario also offers products to maintain or improve your home’s indoor air quality. We spend a lot of time inside our homes especially in the cold winter months, so it’s important to ensure the air we breathe is as clean and free of irritants as possible. Indoor air quality products especially help those who suffer from indoor allergies (dust, mold, and mildew) and outdoor seasonal allergies (pollen, ragweed, trees, etc.) by easing or eliminating symptoms. We carry high quality products from Trane, York, and Aprilaire®.

Trane

Trane CleanEffects™ Air Cleaner uses innovative technology to supply a cleaner, healthier home environment. This air cleaner unit allows you to breathe easier by removing up to 99.98% of airborne particles. Say goodbye to breathing in harmful bacteria and allergens. It has a built in filter with several industry leading features—quiet operation, easy to clean filters that are vacuumed and rinsed every 3 to 9 months, low operating costs, and easy indicators of when the unit should be cleaned. The clean air delivery rate is 1,200.

It also falls well below FDA regulations for emissions from a medical device, and has a minimal effect on the ozone layer, making this indoor air product not only good for your home environment, but for the natural environment as well.

York® Indoor Air Quality Products

There are eight different indoor air quality products available from Air Leaders, Inc. manufactured by York®.

Whole-House Fan Powered Humidifiers

Whole-house fan powered humidifiers integrate with air handlers to deliver up to 18 gallons of moisture, suitable for homes and buildings in which the air is overly dry. Part of the Affinity Series, this unit also wards off bacteria and fungi to maintain optimal humidity levels. The built-in fan improves air across a water panel to mix moisturized air with the air in your home’s environment.

Whole-House Dehumidifiers

York’s dehumidifiers also work with an air handler to do the opposite of a humidifier--take moisture out of the air--which is especially useful in the warm and humid summer months. There are no water trays to empty as with designs from years ago, and every unit is backed by a 5 year warranty. You’ll experience significant energy savings, as your air conditioning system will run less often, cutting annual costs by up to 18%.

Whole-House Bypass Humidifier

This type of humidifier uses heated air that goes through a pad soaked with water so that it becomes moistened before flowing back into your home’s environment. During this process, bacteria and viruses are removed, which greatly helps to reduce asthma and allergy symptoms. You can achieve optimal comfort throughout your home as the system delivers up to 18 gallons of moisture. This system is also low maintenance and designed to be dependable for many years.

Steam Humidifiers

If you require high capacity, a steam humidifier may be the most suitable indoor air quality product from York®, available from Air Leaders, Inc. A single unit can work for many residential applications, holding 23.3 gallons per day. All that is needed for maintenance is to replace the canister once a year, and its improved efficiency over older humidifier technology makes it a great choice for controlling humidity while saving on your energy costs. Your furnace will run less and this system will remove many types of allergens and bacteria.

Electronic Air Cleaners

If you are extremely sensitive to airborne allergens and mold, an electric air cleaner may be the best solution for your home—it removes up to 99% of mold, allergens, viruses, and dust. Media Air Cleaners

Heat Recovery Ventilator

This power centrifugal blower works hard to replace unhealthy air with quality fresh air, transferring energy from the exhaust’s air to the fresh air coming in. A heat recovery ventilator can be used with your central air duct system. The method of heat transfer used in this York® product can conserve significant amounts of energy while reducing condensation on your windows, operated at five different speeds to meet the needs of the home environment. There are no moving parts and its easy-to-maintain design ensures it will last for many years.

Energy Recovery Ventilator

This type of ventilator removes humidity from incoming airstreams for use in the summertime. It is similar to the heat recovery ventilator, but uses cool air in addition to heated air, transferring energy from the air in the exhaust to incoming fresh air from outdoors. With no moving parts to worry about replacing, it’s engineered for long term use and comes with an optimal defrosting mechanism to protect the unit during Markham, Ontario’s cold winters.

Aprilaire® Indoor Air Quality Products

Another well-known brand in the indoor air quality market is Aprilaire®, also available from Air Leaders, Inc. They manufacture air purifiers, dehumidifiers, and humidifiers designed to target the allergens and bacteria that contribute to asthma and allergy symptoms. We carry four different humidifier models from Aprilaire®.

MODEL 400

Maximize the control of your humidity levels while using as little water as possible with the Aprilaire® Model 400 humidifier. This design is drain-free and uses evaporation as gravity pulls down the water and a wicking action draws water back to the top. There is no standing water and you don’t have to monitor your settings. Comfort is continually maintained with no periods of discomfort in between running cycles of the system. These units can accommodate areas of up to 4,000 square feet, eliminating the damaging effects of air that is too dry, especially in the winter months.

MODEL 500

Featuring a built-in bypass damper, the Model 500 AprilAire humidifier has less parts to installs and truly automatic controls. The evaporation rate is .5 gallons per hour and this design works well for homes up to 3,000 square feet. It also features easy to see and read humidity indicators when set to manual mode.

MODEL 600

The Model 600 delivers up to 50% more moisture than other similar units, offering many of the same great features as the 500 (built-in bypass damper, fewer installation parts, and automatic controls). This unit has a .70 gallons per hour evaporation capacity and can be used in homes as large as 4,000 square feet.

MODEL 700

When you choose the Model 700 Aprilaire humidifier from Air Leaders, Inc., you are choosing a design that serves as a whole-home solution, with a built-in fan to draw in heated air directly from your furnace. This quick transfer of air means your furnace runs less and your home is heated more quickly and easily, even in the coldest temperatures. Along with the advantages you’ll find with all of AprilAire®’s humidifiers, this model has an automatic digital humidifier control and can accommodate up to 4,200 square feet.
